Memorable Recreation – Fornax team building in Visegrád
A Fornax csapata kiszakadva a megszokott irodai környezetből egy izgalmas és szórakoztató programokkal teli hétvégét töltött együtt a visegrádi Mogyoróhegyen.
Effective and efficient work is not possible without leisure and entertainment – it is important to leave important daily tasks and problems to be solved behind occasionally and escape from the routines – of course in the company of other team members, so a part of the company group moved camp for a sunny spring weekend to Visegrád.
The day began with accounts of the projects, the leaders updating the rest of the staff and our partners about running activities, successfully terminated projects and plans for the future.
The team building training started after that, during which both body and brain muscles had to be strained to solve the task at hand, needing a whole lot of creativity as well. The teams built racing cars from a given set of parts starting off with a base wooden structure. The finished vehicles had to function and be attractive at the same time. Following the assembly the teams had to „sell” their creation during a campaign speech. Creative power was at its peak, colourful, unique, funny and extraordinary four wheelers were dreamt up. There was the classic red Ferrari, the newly-wed honeymooner car, the pink monster straight from the Mad Max franchise, the environment friendly vehicle, the snail automobile with an agenda for safety, the love-ride emphasising positive emotions, the robust jeep and the BianCar stressing feminine values, driven by the team’s only female member, Bianka. This was followed by the qualifying sessions, in which the performance of the engines, the safety of the shell and the skills of the drivers were put to the test – but what mattered most was the people pushing the newly manufactured cars with great enthusiasm. The Box Derby Cup was awarded to the robust jeep brandishing the colours of Fornax of team number 7.
More challenges were to follow, those with relentless creative powers had the opportunity to leverage these in the culinary world. The next task to tackle was making dinner in cauldrons, for which the teams had prepared in advance. There were teams that brought special herbs, others reinforced team spirit with team T-shirts, others had secret ways to spice up the works of boiling art, which were later assessed by strict judges. The unbiased jury deemed the chicken stew the most delicious, but all cauldrons contained mouth-watering meals. The school of forestry was rich with the scent of open fire cooking.
The team building was crowned by the party at night, where everyone was able to let off the steam. A live band provided the music, and there was dancing until the break of dawn.
This spring weekend became an unforgettable time out for all Fornax employees, who returned home with treasured memories.
