With its courageous and experimenting mentality Fornax has always aimed to keep valuable experts within Hungary – this is one of the factors that has contributed to the continuous growth of our company through decades.
About the Fornax company group – more, than 30-year presence in the domestic and international IT markets
The company group has been an unavoidable player in the IT sector since 1991 thanks to its boldly innovative developments and extraordinarily strong team of experts. The name Fornax looks back on a past of more, than quarter of a century in the domestic and international markets, the fully Hungarian owned company group has bloomed into a corporation with several members. Thanks to the openness to experimentation in the beginning and the international contacts that by now have become numerous, the company is a leader in the application and development of the newest technologies. In 2019 Fornax celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Activities, service, competencies – what we are capable of
Fornax ICT delivers and customizes IT solutions, optimizes, automates business and work processes, and provides IT support for them, and performs application integration. Fornax SI Nagyvállalati Megoldások Kft. (Corporate Solutions) provides full service in the areas of Management Information Systems, IT system integration and outsourcing, and is a leader regrading consultancy related to the above activities.
Fornax Zrt. supports Research & Development and startup projects, as well as offering complex solutions to various IT demands in the world of finance. The company is furthermore an expert in building nationwide IT systems and in the area of other finance IT solutions.
By the end of the 1990s Fornax acquired a key position in the IT market of Central Europe as well, so beside the Hungarian companies foreign subsidiaries also operate in Montenegro (Fornax ME), Croatia (Fornax HR) all in the IT sector.
Eventus – the award winning solution of Fornax
EVENTUS, the work flow and work force management system developed by FORNAX is used in several European countries and is the winner of multiple Hungarian and international awards.

Awards, acknowledgement – what we are proud of
FORNAX’s global penetration was accompanied by international recognition leading to plenty of prestigious awards.
The crucial breakthrough happened when EVENTUS was granted the Global Excellence in Workflow Silver Award. Global fame was followed by Hungarian recognition: in 2008, EVENTUS was granted the IT Business Leadership Award. In 2011, the company received global publicity in an article published in the Time Magazine presenting Hungary’s economic and technological development.
FORNAX’s greatest success came in 2012, when it came first in European Software Excellence Awards, a competition for European software developers held in Berlin.
In the same year a unified Management Information System was installed at the twenty most important members of the MVM group. The chief contractor of the project was FORNAX in close collaboration with SAP Hungary Kft. The project fulfilled the highest quality requirements while dramatically increasing the efficiency of the company’s processes , and was awarded the gold prize of the prestigious SAP Quality Awards that year.
Fornax at the professional conferences of the world – Our professional presence abroad
Following several professional appearances Fornax was granted the honour to be the first ever Hungarian speaker at the largest IT conference of America – and maybe the world -, the Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco. The company was selected from more than a thousand applicants to give a presentation after – following successful EVENTUS installations at Deutsche Telekom subsidiaries – Crnogorski Telekom in Montenegro reported a 60% rise in efficiency in 2013 as a result of an EVENTUS implementation.
