…running round the globe – Fornax at Vivicittá

2016. 04. 25.

A Fornax futó csapata idén is megmutatta, hogy az állandó ülőmunkát végző informatikusaink is lehetnek sportosak és egészségtudatosak és a szakmai kihívások mellett egyéb megmérettetésekre is nyitottak.

A dozen Fornax employees entered this year’s Vivicittá Run. At our company group many people work out regularly and excel in various sports in addition to their IT office work – knowing that physical exercise is also important for efficient work and a full, happy life. They are open to the world, new things and of course challenges, both professionally and in the world of sports.

In our company many people excel in the martial art called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the most sophisticated grappling combat sport in the world. One of the managers within the company group is a BinduSar yoga trainer. In addition to our many runners, a full football team could be made up of our colleagues who train on the pitch several times a week in order to be best. We have reckless parachuters, salsa dancers, champion curling players, golfers, an enthusiastic and persistent TRX girl team, excellent badminton players and even a competing foosballer. Many members of the Fornax team scuba dive, shoot, we have several passionate Cessna flyers, and even an arm wrestler champion. And we have a runner whose goal is to run the total length of the Earth’s diameter. Levente Farkas is at 5004 km, with a further 10 km he has just added at Vivicittá.

Every member of the mixed Fornax team reached the finish lines of the 7 km, 10 km and half-marathon runs. The team did not consist of developers only, staff of other areas competed as well.

Our colleagues had been preparing for a long time, their fitness level was therefore perfect, everyone was in high spirits and the weather was also very favourable. The family of many of our runners were there cheering, there were several expectant mothers beside the tracks. Another reason it is great to work for Fornax.
